Confirmed features
Solo or co-op escape
Play alone or with up to 5 players. Runs support flexible group sizes, from a quiet solo attempt to a full-lobby run.
Randomized, non-linear runs
Every run is randomized rather than scripted. Locations, encounters and events shift each time, so memorizing one route won't carry you through.
Puzzles gate progress
Mini-games and puzzles unlock new areas and earn in-run currency. Solving them can also be the only way out of a monster encounter.
Four documented mini-game types
Mini-games scattered through the park fall into four confirmed types: sequential puzzles (step-by-step challenges in order), lever arrays (multi-switch coordination), mazes (disorienting navigation) and platforming obbies (timed or skill-based jumps).
The Wonder Shop
Tickets earned in a run buy items at the Wonder Shop. The shop currently sells 11 items โ from an 80-Ticket Stopwatch that buys time on the clock up to the 1,000-Ticket Minigun. Prices shift between patches, so check the current cost in-game before spending.
Fight back, not just flee
A hammer and a minigun are both confirmed shop items, giving players real combat options alongside stealth and puzzle-solving.
Shared squad lives
Your squad shares three lives per run โ they aren't per player. The final trailer's HUD tracks a timer alongside the lives count, and losing all three ends the run no matter how far you've progressed.
Stamina system
Sprinting drains stamina and walking lets it recover โ it only recovers while walking, not standing still. Pace your sprints or a chase can leave you exposed.
Obby-style platforming
Sneak peeks on the official ScaryPlay Discord confirm obby-style sections where you cross the park with platforming while monsters close in.
Mobile, PC and console day one
Launched simultaneously across Mobile, PC and Console rather than staggering releases, so the whole player base got in on day one.
Bandages & team healing
Bandages can be found and used to restore health and heal damaged squad teammates during high-intensity encounters.
Wonder Mask disguise & durability
The Wonder Mask provides temporary disguise and evasion against park entities until its durability breaks.
Four difficulty modes & zero-death runs
Features four selectable difficulty tiers (Easy 'First Words', Medium 'First Steps', Hard 'Big Kid', and Nightmare 'Fearless Child'), plus special rewards for beating the story with 0 deaths.
Join the ScaryPlay group for rewards
Joining the official ScaryPlay Roblox group grants verified in-game rewards: 150 Gems, the exclusive Wonder Flashlite, and the limited Present Flashlite (Legendary rarity).
Music by Ampient (non-copyright)
The official Roblox game page credits the soundtrack to composer Ampient and confirms it is non-copyright, so it can be used freely in videos and streams.
Zippy the guide & Wormy the Ticket exchange
Zippy opens the run by teaching the Lumen loop โ collect the glowing green Lumins, find the exit, and return before the deadline. Wormy, the NPC at the hub, receives the Lumins and converts them into Tickets you spend at the Wonder Shop.
Wonder & Wander: the run-ending battle
The finale is a dance battle against Wonder and his wife Wander inside a giant dollhouse arena where players are shrunk to miniature scale. Flip the room breakers and strike them repeatedly with the Toy Hammer, then escape through Wonder's Top Hat, which sits at the entrance of the Wonder Shop. A no-death clear earns the Dance Battle badge.
Wonder Egg gacha & WonderLite skins
The lobby Shop sells Wonder Eggs bought with Gems that hatch into randomized WonderLite flashlight skins โ a gacha layer rare in mascot horror. There are 25 WonderLite skins across Common, Uncommon, Epic, Secret, Mythic and Legendary rarities, plus Robux bundles and hatch/luck gamepasses.
Live update: the BIG REVAMP (new enemies & skilltrees)
ScaryPlay's 'BIG REVAMP! & A LOT MORE!' went live August 31, 2026: two new enemies (Lumin Rodent and Bear), Skilltrees character progression, XP and leveling, leaderboards, and new levels replacing the lumin-scavenging loop. Hiding spots (lockers/alcoves) and a revamped park exit arrived with it too. Community encounters confirm the Lumin Rodent disguises itself as a red Lumin without the sparkle effect, then chases at speed once grabbed; the Bear is tied to the revamped exit sequence and its behavior is still being documented. We'll expand these entries as encounters are confirmed in-game.
Starting items
Every run begins with four starting items given automatically on spawn: WonderLites (the always-on flashlight), a HealthBox, a Backpack, and a Wonderdoodle. The 11 purchasable Wonder Shop items add to these.
Story Mode targeted within 2027
Levels Mode is the playable game at launch. A dedicated narrative Story Mode is locked and under development, with ScaryPlay's targeted release window within 2027.
The face of the park & villains
The roster is led by Wonder and Wander, with a cast of dolls and park creatures behind them. Each encounter โ behaviour, tells, and the counter that actually works โ is written up in full on the monsters guide. What follows is the index of who is in the park.
